I’m going to be making some changes to the design of the site, and I’ve started by peeling away most of the wallpaper and stripping some of the paint (using the incredibly powerful and easy-to-use CSSEdit 2). If you do any kind of CSS or work on the design of dynamic websites you have to get this app. In the month or so that I’ve had it, it’s saved me 14 years worth of pain and suffering.

I’ll be modifying the design of the site as I go, so expect things to look different every time you visit. I’d been working on a design using a blue and brown that looked beautiful and warm and rich on my Mac’s flat screen, but which look like dead flesh on my PC’s CRT, so I’ve scrapped that and I’m starting over. I may move the sidebar to the bottom of the posts, and limit the number of posts shown on the main page.

I’m modifying the design of my sister’s blog, and doing a site for a friend’s B&B, so I wouldn’t expect speedy progress, but things should start to look a little better before my next haircut.
